Affiliate Article Marketing for Small Business Marketing

August 24th, 2008 by admin

For any business to function properly and be successful, they have to employ some form of marketing.  Big surprise!  If you or your business had a product or products that no one was able to see or read about, your days as a business proprietor would be short lived, indeed. Properly marketing any item, whether it be a toothbrush or a stunning Rolex wristwatch, can have an absolutely amazing effect on it.  Then imagine being able to effectively market and promote your own products while at the same time, your affiliate article marketers are hard at work doing the same.

Now, let us delve deeper into what affiliate marketing and affiliate article marketing are all about.  First off, affiliate marketing is basically a revenue sharing program amongst online merchants or advertisers and online salespeople or publishers where remunerations are paid based upon such measures of performance like clicks, sales, fusion models or registrations.  If you’re interested in adding a affiliate program to your product lineup investigate the services of Heather Paulson Management, you won’t be disappointed.

Affiliate article marketing most often refers to an advertising mode where affiliates promote merchant/retailer products via writing reviews, how to articles, etc. about a product or service and then submit their unique articles to major article repositories such as ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com, isnare.com.  Article marketing is one of the most powerful long term marketing methods for small business marketing and affiliate marketing.

There are a whole host of affiliate article marketing programs out there which you can become a part of. These programs, after you have signed up, will allow you to place their advertisements (most of the time, it consists of one website link and a line or two of text) onto your website. Then, because of their amazing search engine software programs, ads are placed on your website that are only related to what your visitors actually searched for on your website and to the content of your article. And, in turn, you are capable of making money because every time a visitor to your site clicks on one of those strategically placed ads, you will make a small commission from any pay per click company that you work with.

Some sites out there create their content so it specifically caters to affiliate article marketers. One such website is called Affiliate Guide and it lists affiliate programs with a wide variety of topics and themes. If, for example, you happen to click on a specific theme which closely matches the content of your article or one that seems interesting to you, they will then provide you with lists of all other affiliate article writing programs as well as the commission percentages you can make off of every sale you help to develop. A great deal of these schemes do in fact provide their affiliate article marketers reasonable percentages of all sales made and some may even offer larger percentages known as first tier sales. Becoming an affiliate usually is quite simple and easy, since you are only required to place links to their website on your website. This is accomplished by placing the links either in your article content or in the margins of your webpage.

Affiliate article marketing can also be a contributing factor in the steady climb to the top for a whole host of online business companies. It is also quite common to find that many industries have top performers who utilize affiliate article marketing as their number one tool to grow their business and their sales figures with.

This is because they understand how to properly and effectively market to their audience. For example, they may use keyword research in order to attract their potential customs. This means that if you are composing affiliate marketing articles with a niche of frogs, for instance, your articles content will talk about frogs. Then you can type the word frog into the seobook tools site and it will provide you with keyword lists about the word frog, as well as how many people searched for that term today. The ultimate goal is to find a word that has had no more than 5,000 daily searches in order to be effective and easily located. And also remember that words like frog food, etc. may be too broad to work properly.

Producing a Successful Business Plan To Start A New Business

December 24th, 2007 by admin

Finance companies and banks demand a written business plan before putting up financial support to a new business. All medium and large companies inevitably prepare a financial budget for the coming year. That should tell everyone that not producing a written business plan is the first mistake everyone starting a new business might make.

Starting a new business without a proper business plan is akin to taking a blind walk in the dark without no road or map to follow. It should not come as a surprise to learn that the majority of new start ups consequently fail within the first two years dashing the hopes and dreams of many budding entrepreneurs.

The benefits to an entrepreneur in producing a detailed comprehensive business plan when some-one is considering starting a new business lie strongly in the thought process that goes into producing that plan rather than the ultimate plan itself. New start ups should regard a business plan as a road map to get the show on the road.

A properly thought out and written business plan for a small business should contain the details of how the small business is going to get started. A typical plan might include a short synopsis of the new business with sections on sales and marketing, operations or production, purchasing, personnel plus a financial section evaluating those plans and putting real numbers on the written text.

The short synopsis should briefly describe the main business and mention each of the main ingredients contained within the plan to attain the objectives. The rest of the business plan should support that synopsis and should be factual rather than a sales document.

Sales and marketing should include an analysis of the potential and forecast sales, competition and how the sales will be achieved. Identify the sales channels that will produce the sales and why they will produce the sales. The sales section should specifically state the volume of sales of each product over at least the first year and the price at which each of those products will be sold and note the sensitivity of all items to unexpected events.

The operations and production section is dependent upon the type of business and will be variable depending on whether the new start up business was providing services, retailing or manufacturing. The production section is basically a detailed picture of the vehicle that will be used to generate the products to be sold.

Purchasing would include an analysis of how the products to be sold would be sourced. Volumes should be stated and sources of supply specifically identified with a real purchase cost of all major items specified not guessed.

Personnel would include the names of the people involved with brief details of their knowledge, qualifications and previous experience. The personnel section would also include details of people yet to be recruited if the work to be performed is going to be critical to the new business.

The financial section of a business plan should contained a forecast profit and loss account preferably each month for the first year at least with perhaps a summary of the second year. In addition to the profit and loss account a cash flow statement taking into account capital introduced and stock levels should also be produced.

The sales and production or purchasing numbers including volume and prices contained within the report should be reflected in the financial report. Each major critical assumption within the plan should be subjected to a financial sensitivity analysis that takes into account all potential risks to volume and price levels.

The process of preparing a detailed comprehensive business plan that has been properly researched has significant benefits in itself. If the business has been researched and thought through before the new business starts there is a much higher can it will succeed and suffer fewer negative surprises once the real work of generating sales and profit begins.
